In short Dutch & Habro has manufactured household insecticides, hygiene, air care, home care, garden care and shoe care products since 1993. The Middle East arm runs from a regional office in Dubai and appoints distribution partners across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain, with one agreement covering all six brands.

What we make

Six brands covering the household-care shelf end to end. Goodbye is pest control — aerosols, gels, baits, chalks, coils and traps. Habro covers toilet, surface and washroom hygiene. Lovaire is air care and home fragrance. Gardenz handles plant protection and garden hygiene. Caesars is shoe and leather care. Podo is a dedicated rodent-control system for homes, food service and industrial premises.

A single distribution agreement carries the whole range. For a partner that means one negotiation, one credit line, one delivery schedule and one point of contact — and a route that can carry six categories on the same vehicle rather than one.

Why the Gulf needs its own formulation thinking

Household care in the GCC does not behave like household care in a temperate market, and a range imported unchanged from one tends to underperform in the other.

  • Air conditioning removes the season. Interiors sit in the ideal breeding band for German cockroaches all year, so insect control is a continuous category rather than a summer spike.
  • Windows stay shut. Indoor air treatment is a permanent purchase here, not a spring one — which is why air care sells at a different rate to the West.
  • Institutional volume sits beside retail volume. Hotel estates, contractor camps and facilities-management contracts put bulk demand next to household demand in a way few markets do.
  • Household size and pack size are larger. Particularly in Saudi Arabia and among the national populations across the Gulf.
  • Dust is a category driver. The spring shamal season produces a reliable surge in surface and home-cleaning demand that has no Western equivalent.

How we work with partners

We appoint by territory, not by country blanket. A partner gets a written agreement covering the brands, the territory, the exclusivity position and the performance targets — settled at the start rather than argued later. Alongside it come the technical dossiers and test reports needed for product registration in that market, Arabic-compliant artwork, and an opening assortment planned against the local channel mix.

Each territory page on this site sets out what that market looks like: who buys, through which channels, what the climate does to demand, and what a partner there needs. That is deliberate — a partner who can see the reasoning before applying tends to be a better partner afterwards.

A note on the group. Dutch & Habro Middle East is the GCC arm of the Dutch & Habro group, established in Ajman, UAE in 1993 and now selling in more than 35 markets across the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and South-East Asia. Manufacturing is ISO 9001 certified (since 2005) and ISO 14001 certified, and formulations are developed in partnership with European laboratories. The group site is dutchnhabro.com, and it operates a separate India business at dutchnhabro.in.
